Unable to start website in IIS giving error on port 80.

If you are unable to start a website in IIS on your windows server and in the event viewer it is giving error on port 80 it means that another application is using port 80. In normal case scenario the other applications can be:

1) Apache (From services stop apace service to check this.)
2) Flash Media Server 3.5 (FMSedge.exe might be causing this problem to fix this goto the conf folder and edit fms.ini and remove the port 80 there.)
3) Older version of IIS (If you are using IIS 7 and IIS 6 is install then stop either one and it will start working)

if neither of the above works then check which applications are using that port to do this visit this post

Excellent Weblog, I just determined this post although browsing by way of Google I believe that you and I could happen to be close friends inside a past life – the posts that I’ve learnt from so far are genuinely appeal to me and to my sense of taste! Anyway, all talking aside, it appears that your Feed doesn’t appear to operate in my browser (which is Google chrome) do you think you’re able to inform me how I can fix it?
